Highway lighting
I live in a major city and in parts of it are what appears to be gargantuan highway lights.
I learned that this was called high mast lighting and these can be anywhere from 30m to 65m. Maybe more but I think the ones I see are probably 30m so I'd be keen to see how massive a 50m post would look like.
They are massive pieces of metal put together in parts and there is a rope and winch set up to lower and raise the actual lighting part. This way you can repair and change bulbs without need even bigger ladders.
There is also meters of concrete underneath to hold these poles up. The wind is actually the big thing that needs to be considered rather than the weight, these poles need to stay up in storms.

An interesting thing I noticed on the Wikipedia article was that it seems high mast lighting was developed in Texas but they had taken inspiration from Europe, specifically Germany. I didn't find anything more there.
The Transportation Institute and the Texas Highway Department installed these high mast lighting poles and ran a study to see how they did. These structures helped drastically and quickly spun out to other parts of the world.
This tech was actually the continuation of what we had called moonlight towers which were large structures that were used to light areas of a city. Quite romantic.
